Things are coming together

Things are finally coming together after being here in Charlotte. Chris should get final confirmation on his job from the school board within the next few weeks and we just put an offer in on a fixer-upper. It is a great neighborhood and we got a great deal. Set to close on May 28th so we are really excited. Bigger than the old house (+2000 sft) and 5 min from everything.

I am really looking forward to getting a normal life back that includes my husband and the dog!

Til next time ~

Last days

It was bittersweet leaving home this weekend. I realized it would be the last time Toby would get to run in the woods. I am sure our new home in Charlotte will have less free-range roaming leaving Toby a bit depressed. I think he realized that he was never coming back because he relished every moment of being outside. I am sure the squirrels will not miss him nor the neighbors since he has this habit of getting outside around 10 PM and barking at the stars......

I envision a lot of long walks and trips to the dog park! Toby, this will be your transition.

Good things in 2009

I have a feeling good things are going to come in 2009. We finally got an offer on our house and Chris is very close to getting a position down here in Charlotte (Union Co.) as the head wrestling coach. Nothing official but the Athletic Director calls weekly to give him a status on the position. Things are a bit tight so they are working at a snails pace to make appointments.

Supposedly the house inspection went OK, haven't heard much from the realitor except he could not get the fireplace to come on and our dishwasher was loud? Yes, a loud dishwasher! I didn't think that would have any structual impact on our home but I guess he needed to write down something.......

Well, we'll keep our fingers crossed that everything will fall in line!

Resolutions

Have you ever wondered who ever came up with the "New Year's Resolution"? What EXACTLY were they thinking? I've personally never stuck with any resolution past February - maybe thats because I never put it in writing or maybe I just don't have the willpower to follow through with it. Well, this year I am going to perform a very un-scientific study. I am going to keep a journal on my blog about my success and failure in keeping this year's resolution. My goal - wear a size 12 by December.
Well here goes nothing!
