It was really nice to get to the hometown Christmas parades with the family on the 5th and 6th. It really puts you in the holiday spirit especially when you can capture this moment! The tree comes "wit lites"

World's worst blogger -
I am the world's worst blogger.....I found out most of my free "internet" time is used on facebook. I was skeptical at first but when everyone was telling me they were on it I thought what the heck....It is really great getting to catch up with people you haven't seen in a while and then others you see all the time.
I am excited that Chris is on his way to Charlotte as we speak. He has two interviews so we'll keep our fingers crossed! I know Fred and Wilma will be excited to see him.
Speaking of which, here is my little helper. Sometimes I wonder if I could teach him to type.

Working from home is not all it's cracked up to be!
Today was my first day of actually working from home ALL day.....let me tell you it is not what it's cracked up to be. Fred and Wilma tormented me at my desk and I never even took a shower. You would think there would be time for Dr. Phil and Oprah but oh no....people calling, emailing, it's crazy.
It's Friday and everyone must have had an alarm go off telling them that they had to get every last piece of work off their desk or it would spontaneously combust. It was 1:30 before I realized I hadn't ate lunch yet.
I am ready to get back on the road!

A new thing
My first blog.....boy how times have changed. Jill got me hooked on this so I thought it would be an easy way for me to share my journey as my husband and I transition (hence the title) from Virginia to North Carolina. It's been kind of hard you know, living 5 hours away from the person you have given your heart and soul to. There are good days and bad but it's nice to have my four-legged friends here to keep me company. They drive me crazy sometimes but I have adapted.
Well, here begins a journey of a road warrior.
